KEEP THE CHANNEL CLEAR - 5/17/2009 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.“ James 4:8. It is not uncommon for persons to wonder why God does not reveal Himself to them in a special way. I suppose that at one time or another we all have longed for such an experience. And probably the main obstruction to this ... 1 response(s), 3 votes |

Do Not Forget To Turn Your Security System On - 5/15/2009 A horrible thing happened to me today. A thief broke into my house. It happened shortly after I awoke this morning. I got up and began rushing about. I had a thousand things on my list and was already running behind. Quickly, I gulped down breakfast, took a shower and got ready for work. In my rush, I forgot to turn the security system on at my house. It was just about a half an hour later ... 0 response(s), 2 votes |

YOU CAN BE STRONG INSIDE - 5/14/2009 “That He would grant you according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His spirit in the inner man.” Eph. 3:16. A Christian's Defense - 5/11/2009 Read Psalm 26:1-12. Have you ever been blamed for something you didn't do? Leaders often are blamed falsely. The Israelites blamed Moses for lack of water, bitter water, enemies' attacks and lack of food. In this psalm, David is falsely accused, so he takes four steps to deal with his slanderers. Step 1: An honest examination (v. 1-3). Human nature does not want to admit it is wrong, ... 0 response(s), 5 votes |

THIS IS THE DAY - 5/7/2009 “This is the day the Lord has made; we will be glad and rejoice in it.” Ps.118:24. Today, as far as time is concerned, is all we have. Yesterday is as completely beyond our reach as A.D. 1900 or 1900 B.C. We cannot go back; we cannot control the past. Revival - 5/7/2009 Revival (Part 1) Duncan Campbell described revival as ‘a community saturated with God.’ “Revival is a church word; it has to do with God’s people. You cannot revive the world; the world is dead in trespasses and sins; you cannot revive a corpse. But you can revitalize where there is life.” ‒ Douglas Brown 1922 Evan Roberts made the same claim in Wales in ... 1 response(s), 0 votes |

Divorce - 5/7/2009 I met a lady who was crushed when her husband divorced her. She couldn't forgive herself. But I told her that God does. We read 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." Our God is a God of mercy and grace. There is foregiveness through our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to God. 2 response(s), 1 vote |

GRACE - 5/6/2009 Let us note them at the very beginning-‘grace’ and’ peace’. ’Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ’ (Ephesians 1:2).
